My Life is Nothing But a Comedy

$190.00

Product Specs
Size: 24”×36“ Canvas Print
Hanging Hardware: Included

“Painted for Cars and Couture at the Tampa Museum of Art, this portrait of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker captures both chaos and vulnerability.”

The Inspiration
I scrawled the title in pastel with my left hand to mimic a child’s writing, added 1920s-style clowns in the background, and washed his hair in green after the portrait was complete. His bloodshot eyes, a detail from the film, are a focal point here. Look closely and you’ll see the sadness beneath the smirk. This one sold the same night to a collector.
